The Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee (JKJAV) co-chaired by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and Ministry of Health (MOH) had launched a varieties of immunisation program such as the PICK (Program Imunisasi Covid-19 Kebangsaan) & PIKAS (Pelaksanaan Program Imunisasi Industri COVID-19 Kerjasama Awam-Swasta) in order to accelerate the immunisation of public in Malaysia.

A PPV (Pusat Pemberian Vaksin) is a vaccination center with the purpose of providing vaccine injections to the public. The common use Vaccines Administration Center is mostly set up at mega scale stadiums, sport centers, convention, exhibition centers, auditorium, indoor hotel banquet halls, local community halls and institution assembly halls.

Based on our understanding, the government had provided a basic guideline & criteria on setting up the vaccines administration center nationwide. The PPV is mainly divided into 5 main stations (you may use any existing facilities or our vaccination tentage to shelter you stations):

• Station 1 – Screening: A signage display stand with My Sejahtera QR code and body temperature scanner will be set up at the entrance of the PPV. This is the station for the participant to get their queue number after verifying their vaccination appointment at the screening tent. Renting the crowd control equipment like the queue poles and barricades are the essential tools to prevent overcrowding and make sure the participants are queuing in line during the process of verifying the valid participants.

• Station 2 – Registration: A number of banquet chairs or plastic chairs will be set up at the registration station for the participants to have a short rest while waiting for their queueing number to be called for registration. The registration counter is allocated with an extension wire plug point, banquet table and chair to ease the process of registration. 

• Station 3 – Consultation: Participants are required to fill in the consent form before heading to the consultation counter. We recommend renting the classroom chair as the seating furniture at this station. The chair with a desk is convenient for the participant to fill in the form. We will allocate the 3ft x 3ft square table and 2 units of chairs as the consultation counter. At this station, participants can inform their health, medication or allergies conditions if there is any. You may also ask the medical staff if you have any doubt on the vaccine before signing the consent form.

• Station 4 – Vaccination: Our board panels are constructed into a small cubicle with curtain entrance to protect the privacy of the recipient. The vaccination booth will prevent any distraction to the medical staff when performing the vaccine injection too.

• Station 5 – Monitoring: This is the last station for the vaccination process. Rows of banquet chairs are set at this station to accommodate the injected participants. The observation duration will take about 15mins to 30mins before allowing the injected participants to leave the PPV. The medical staff will handover a copy of consent form and the 2nd dose vaccination appointment card to the participant at this observation station. A proper counter and queuing guidelines are set at this station too to avoid any congested situations. The emergency sick bay will also be set adjacent to the monitoring area.
